Privatization/ contractorisation of various activities of Indian Railways

No.AIRF/PNM/58/2006 Dated: December 18, 2010
Shri D. Mallik,
Jt. Director, Estt.(IR),
Railway Board,
New Delhi

Dear Sir,

Sub: PNM/AIRF Item No.58/2006 – Privatization/ contractorisation/outsourcing/off-loading of various activities of Indian Railways

Ref: Your letter No.2006/Infra/29/1 Pt. dated 16.12.2010

We are too much shocked after going through your letter under reference and learning that the Railway Board has forgotten the basis on which PNM Machinery was initiated. We are also surprised while going through the contents of your letter, wherein it has been advised to us that AIRF’s PNM Item No.58/2006 can be resolved by Dr. Amit Mitra Committee. If Railway Board wants to deviate from the issues and summary disposal of our items by quoting that we are a member of the above cited committee, we have no interest to continue in such committee. We want to make it very clear that this item should not be
withdrawn from the PNM Forum and we would like to discuss it threadbare in our ensuing PNM Meeting with the Railway Board.

Yours faithfully,
(Shiva Gopal Mishra)
General Secretary
