Indian Railways were earlier providing 8 mobile charging sockets per coach. A decision has been taken to increase this to 18 sockets per coach. After this, Indian Railways has been providing 18 mobile charging points in sleeper and general class compartments of trains progressively. So far, 7977 sleeper coaches and 4634 general coaches have been provided with 18 mobile charging points per coach. All AC coaches have been provided with sufficient mobile charging points.
