Increase Dearness Allowance for Central Government Employees. [July 2011]

 
   Central Government employees are given  D.A. (Dearness allowance) by the Government to compensate the hike in price of essential commodities.

     The price hike of the essential commodities are published by the  Labour Bureau in the name of AICPIN - All India Consumer Price Index Number.

   The AICPIN is published monthly. This AICPIN is considered while calculating D.A. By following the same methodology, D.A. is Calculated and published twice in a year.

That is 1st D.A. in the month of  January

 and

2nd D.A. in the month of July.


  • The present D.A. Rate is 51 %
  • Expected D.A from July 2011 is 58% -  (The growth is 7%)

  • Important decision is to taken about the D.A in today's cabinate meeting. 


So we will update once the order is published. so keep watching. . .

  1. THE DA HAS CROSSED 50 % IN JAN,2011. THE BASIC PENSION WAS ALSO REQUIRED TO BE ENHANCED BY 25 % i. 1.5 TIMES
    ON MERGER THE ENHANCED PENSION IS 1.5 TIMES OF BASIC PAY/PENSION.
    THUS DA YET TO BE PAID ON ENHANCED BASIC PENSION IS AS FOLLOWS.
    1. FROM 1/1/2011 TO 1/6/2011
    [BASIC PENSION+HALF BASIC PENSION] X 1 %
    2.FROM 1/7/2011 TO TO-DATE
    [BASIC PENSION+HALF BASIC PENSION] X[1+ 7=8] %

    The table of Allowances and Advances that would be automatically raised by 25% every time the Dearness Allowance on the revised pay structure goes up by 50%…
