SBI staff and officers will get their pension ceiling hiked.
The salary will
be 4% more.
SBI staff Federation president Mr Bhupen Kalita informed this in
the conference of SBI Council in Kolkata yesterday.
An agreement has been
signed in this regard recently.
He added that since the Bank bipartite raised the salary of bankmen 17.5%
but the effective hike for SBI was only 13.5%.
Because the other Bank staff
were given option to join the pension scheme.
The SBI people was already
enjoying the pension facility and they have got separate fund for this but
still they had to bear the extra cost for providing pension to other bank
Gen Secy of SBI staff Association, Mr Shyamal Karmakar informed that the
maximum ceiling for calculation of pension was Rs 21,400 and now it is
raised to Rs 31,500. 50% of this amount is fixed as pension.
If the salary
exceeds the upper ceiling, 40% of the excess amount is to be added with
