Report by Orissa Diary correspondent; Bhubaneswar: In view
of increase of Dearness Allowance (D.A) of the Central government employees, The
State government has announced 10% Dearness Allowance (D.A) for the employees
and officers of the state government on Tuesday. The employees and officers of
the state government will get 45% D.A instead of 35%. About 6 lakh employees of
the state government will be benefitted.
As per the finance department, it will be effective from the month of last
July. The retired employees and officers also get the benefit. The state
government is to incur extra Rs 900 crore for the same. The employees and the
officers will get it from the month of November and the arrears will be paid in
installment.
