Time-line for settlement of Pension


   The Central Pension Accounting Office under  Department of Expenditure, vide OM No. CPAO/Tech/2008/6th CPC/Misc/573 dt  31.12.2009 had directed the Banks to inform dates of credits of first  pension, date of credit of CVP in respect of new PPOs and also to inform the  dates of credit of revised pension, arrears of revised pension, differential  CVP and differential DCRG etc.

   Now the CPAO Has noted that none of the  banks had responded to the above directions and directed that the banks  should furnish the payment particulars for every month, before 15th of the  following month. The CPAO has noted that the updating of  database with dates of payment would greatly help in bringing
transparency,accountability and empowerment of pensioners.
