The Karnataka governnment today enhanced interim relief for its employees from 12.5 per cent to 15 per cent. The increased interim relief would be paid from November 1, Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda announced here. The government on Nov 1 had announced an interim relief of 12.5 per cent, which the Employees Association rejected and stepped up their demand for raising it to 15 per cent. The increase would also benefit pensioners and employees of local bodies.
